The bailiff addressed the court, “All rise. Court is now in session, The Righteous Judge Elohim presiding.
The side door opened and the judge appeared dressed in a full, flowing robe. His presence commanded respect. “Let us begin.”
The prosecutor rose and said, “Your Honor, I call to the stand Paul Damascus.”
“Will the defendant please stand to be sworn in by the bailiff?”
“Please raise your right hand. Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?”
“I do.”
“Isn’t it true you committed hate crimes and murderous acts?”
“In my younger days, I did.”
“Isn’t it also true that on a few occasions you lied to prevent getting caught.”
“It is.”
Attorney Apollyon finished his argument and said, “This man deserves the death penalty, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is nothing in the evidence to prove otherwise.”
When it was his turn, my lawyer asked to approach the bench. The Judge allowed this, over the strong objection of the prosecutor, and beckoned him forward. As he got up and walked toward the bench, I could see Him in his full glory and majesty. He had blinded my eyes until now, but I realized Jesus was representing me.
“The case made by the prosecution is indeed true. I will not dispute the charges. However, I would like to submit the following evidence in defense of my client.”
“Your Honor, Exhibit A.”
“Let the record show that on Calvary’s cross, the sins of this man were transferred to me and I bore the full punishment demanded by Your high and holy justice. I was wounded for his transgressions, bruised for his iniquities, the chastisement that brought him peace was upon me and by my stripes, he was healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5) (NKJV)
“Your Honor, Exhibit B.”
“Let the record show that just as his sins were transferred to Me on the cross, so too all my acts of My righteous life were transferred to his account. In Second Corinthians, chapter 5, verse 21, it says, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
The Judge lifted his mighty hand and slammed down the gavel, “This man is free. The penalty for him has already been paid in full.”
As the Lord led him away, he could hear Attorney Apollyon ranting and raving, “I won’t give up; I’ll win the next case!”
“On earth, losing your life to Jesus, means winning for eternity,” Paul said,as he walked away.
