“Yes, I did.”
“It really is a sign of the times isn’t it?”
“Yeah…I don’t know…maybe. All I know is it was good to go home with him.”
“Well, I’ve been sitting here for years…and I’ve been used many times, but these past couple of years, I never go out anymore.”
“Ha-ha. Well, I’m sorry you’re, how would you call it…bored?”
“No. Actually, I’m not bored. Well, maybe a little bored. But I’m mystified at the change in the world today. It is a steady productive line of corrosion. The times have changed people have changed; therefore, it’s just a commentary on my part.”
“Hmmmm. Well, maybe you should realize that I’m more desirable than you are these days.”
“Possibly. But, I think that’s a temporary Oasis for you. Sorry to be so direct…but I do believe that eventually I’ll be taken out again. And, I will be the ultimate go-to when things change. Or, perhaps even before they do change. You may have seductive qualities and words that make men drool, but overall...I think they'll read between the lines eventually.”
“All I know is that I went out with him…went home with him, and you stayed right there. Doesn’t that speak volumes to you? When will you realize that you are a thing of the past?”
“I never will accept that. I’m perfectly content sitting here, waiting. I think that---no, I promise you--- one day things will change. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but they will. And, when they do…it will be an implementation of rapid success and eternal rewards.”
“Oh, that again? Eternal rewards?”
“Yeah, that again.”
“Oh…well it’s almost time. We’ll see who goes home with whom today. I was home with him all week. And yet there you are, never moved. Now I’m back, albeit momentarily. There will be another young man coming soon. We'll see who he will find the most attractive.”
“We will see. And I will never give up.”
“Oh, look at that guy. He’s cute. Oh I know I’ll be going home with him today. I just know it.”
“I think you might be staying home this time.”
“I can’t believe it, he’s actually going over to YOU? Is this happening? Are you kidding me?”
“I told you I’d never give up…maybe things are swinging in my direction after all. I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. See you next week.”
With that being said the young male student picked up the Holy Bible and checked it out of the University’s library, never glancing in the racy adult novel section even once. >
