Buried beneath sin, where no light could pierce my heart
He reached down to penetrate my spirit of stone
Rescued me from the darkness and claimed me as His own.
The Master Craftsman started working right away,
Turning the rough exterior into a flawless array
If not for pressure, a change would not transpire,
To refine and perfect me is His desire.
Each cut made with precision from God’s two-edged sword;
Further sculpted with three nails, a gift from the Lord
This process is not without trials, growth, and pain,
Adding more clarity, important lessons gained.
Not yet finished, He’s completing my luster still,
Each facet of my nature in line with His will
As the polishing continues, the truth burns bright
I become more transparent, reflecting His light.
Since the start, His plan was to turn my life around,
From diamond in the rough to a jewel in His crown
Love was the purpose of His brilliant design
God’s completed handiwork, forever will shine.
