“This is beautiful!” I smiled as I took in the lush manicured greenery. A soft warm breeze accentuated the magnificence of the scene before my eyes.
“This is the place you’ve waited for…come see for yourself.”
“I can’t stop staring at that huge majestic tree in the middle of the field. It’s outstanding and vibrant, almost electrifying.”
“Yes, isn’t it though?”
I was filled with an excitement that I hadn’t felt before, as I walked closer to the center of the field. There were what appeared to be figures, in the far distance. I couldn’t quite make out their faces, or gender of those individuals. They seemed to be moving about in an erratic fashion, some stopping…while some running…I couldn’t grasp what they were doing, or why.
“It’ll make sense to you soon. All I can say at this time is, welcome, and so glad to have you be a part of this exclusive community.”
The woman’s eyes were golden brown with undertones of magenta hues. I thought it a highly unusual color, and one in which I’d never seen prior to this moment. There was something about her eyes I couldn’t’ quite understand.
I pointed to a lake. “I see water in the distance too!”
“Oh yes…there’s a lake here—”
She stopped abruptly as if there was something else she wanted to say.
“Come; let’s continue to walk toward the middle of the field.”
The grass beneath my feet was akin to a plush carpet. At times during the walk, my feet were totally enveloped, making it difficult to pull away. It happened periodically during our walk, yet as we neared our destination of the huge tree, it became more frequent. It was a strong feeling, as if someone or something was holding my feet.
“Do you feel strange during this walk? Or is it just me?”
Her eyes took on an eerie glow before she answered. “No I do not feel strange. Yes, it’s you.”
I felt my heart lurch at her response. I felt it was an honest answer, but strange nonetheless. Something about this whole walk started to make me uneasy.
“I think I’m going to turn back…I thank you for the opportunity, but I’m going to turn around now.”
She put her hand to my arm and gripped it with superhuman strength as I dropped to my knees in pain.
“Let me go! You’re hurting me!”
“You are making a bad mistake…this is a field of beauty. Look around, can’t you see for yourself?”
“No! I’m not going with you! Let me go, now.”
“Oh no…you are coming with me. You already started your walk with me…and you will finish it.”
Within seconds of her dire warning, I felt peace. And an overload of love, flooded through my body, heart, mind and soul. I felt as if I was physically lifted from the ground as I broke away from her hold.
“Stop! I demand in the name of Jesus Christ you let me go!”
The sounds that came from her mouth didn’t sound human. Her face changed and her body took on that of a man. This individual in front of me, walked into the shadows, the field became dark, and void. The tree in the middle of the field disappeared, along with the water which turned into a lake of fire. Then, images in the background were crystal clear, no longer fuzzy…showing individuals wearing chains, bound and shackled. Their feet embedded in the ground, in a stronghold.
A narrow path with a welcoming light appeared to the right of the now void field. As I walked down my path of choice, I realized the significance of what had just transpired. The enemy will always try to bring those of faith unto his team, and destroy along the way. He will disguise, and tempt, and offer. However, it’s up to the followers of the LORD to be wise, and say no. It’s up to the followers to recognize the fake one, while listening to the voice of the One and only Master…
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Revelation 20:14 KJV)
