She was so tired of being treated differently.
But in her daydreams, oh how she could fly!
He paced in his prison cell, wondering where it all went wrong.
He really was innocent. Why couldn’t the jury see that?
But in his daydreams, oh how he was free!
She hid in the dank basement, hoping to catch a glimpse of sunlight.
How long since she had been abducted? Months? Years?
But in her daydreams, oh, how she could run!
She laid in bed, silent tears running down her face.
He was supposed to love her, not hurt her.
But in her daydreams, oh how she was loved!
He tried to form the words, but all his parents heard was a shriek.
He wished he could express what he was really feeling.
But in his daydreams, oh how he could sing!
He looked around the room and tried to strike up a conversation.
Why did he feel like he was invisible?
But in his daydreams, oh how he belonged!
She hid her head in her hands, ashamed with herself.
No matter how hard she tried, she just saw the negative.
But in her daydreams, oh how she was joyful!
He came to earth as a baby.
No one thought Him to be a King.
But not just in our daydreams, oh how He is Savior.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10b (NKJV)
for in Him we live and move and have our being.
Acts 17:28a (NKJV)
