Oh I loved this! Loved the vision of a poets grief, bleeding out words and visions that give a peek through the wall of words that mask the reality. But honestly I did not see an insouciant poet in this, but the opposite—in words, emotion and vision in both the real and poetic world of this poet. But that may just be me looking too deeply. But I loved this vision! Great writing!

Loved the relaxed mood and the pictures you painted in my mind as I joined you in suffering from lack of stress. Terrific stuff!
Oh my! I don't have words to make it past the lump in my throat. This is beyond brilliant. Stunning and a final wow!

Congratulations. Bill, on your 7th place finish in the EC awards this week.

Your poem was very descriptive and painted many memorable images.
I had to read this again because it's so brilliant, and you've captured my heart in a way that scares me. I'm not a huge poetry fan, but this is on the top of my all-time favorite list. My heart would ache if that other chair stopped rocking. The darkness that speckles this piece is so stark and real; you've captured feelings that have weighed on my heart more than once, yet the hope in it is there. The remnants of prayers once prayed are making a difference both in the MC's life and in mine. Sometimes my bereavement seems to be lasting too long, yet who has the audacity to put a timer on grief? God hasn't, so why do people? Of course, God doesn't want me to wallow in the darkness, but he understands why I do it, and when I least expect it, I look up and the stars are twinkling again and the moon is watching over me, even if just for a little bit. But those prayers, they never die. Thank you for reminding me of that. I can't tell you how much your words have touched and started to heal my hurting heart.

This is so REAL...are you the poet?

Bravo if so and if not!
