He wildly danced with glee -
My carnage bled on down the wood -
The tree at Calvary
He hoped and yearned – his name was safe -
The end would surely come -
My swollen lips - secured his wish -
That I was not the Son
Each breath grew dim - as time - slowed down -
I had to save - some strength -
His name was staying on my tongue -
As darkness stretched - in length
Some vinegar did quench my thirst -
A gift - to state his name -
And then to be – my final word -
A silence for - my pain
The wind – it stopped – the earth – stood still -
The sun soon disappeared -
I lifted up - and looked above -
My Father shed - a tear
I heard the angels strained from help-
As Father turned His eyes - -
The time had come to do His will - -
Give up the ghost - and die
I cried – I shout – I called him out
My last word I - proclaimed
He fell – he frowned– he danced no more -
Finished - it was his name
