And bid on antique lamps.
I paid off my electric bill
And then I bought some stamps.
I found a game where farms are tended
Looked for shops where clothes are mended
The internet is fun!
I talked to someone from Australia
I read a brand new book.
I played a game of chess ‘til midnight
And learned new ways to cook.
I looked at scenes from Paul’s vacation
Planned a trip across the nation
The internet is wide!
But when my day online was done
My soul was cold and tired
For nothing in the World Wide Web
Could give what it required.
I heard a sermon from a preacher
I read lessons from a Bible teacher
The internet has truth!
Yet, I could not my sad soul please
Until I got down on my knees
And fellowshipped with God.
No matter what we find online.
Our souls require something divine:
God’s “inner-net” is Life!
