God with many gifts, has us so freely blessed,
But one gracious favor outshines all the rest.
Deep within our hearts, he now has come to dwell,
Causing gratitude inside our minds to swell.
Quietly, our lives he changes from within,
Daily conforming our minds and hearts to him.
Sometimes over pathways, all sunny and bright,
But also through passages as dark as night.
We ne'er need to worry as his way we go
For the one who leads, our path will show.
The God of might we worship, the great I am,
He is always present, as we trust in him.
If at times you stumble, he will hear you call;
Set your feet more firmly to prevent your fall.
With his loving heart, he gladly will forgive,
All that in repentance, we confess to him.
When the way grows black, escape you cannot see,
Confidently wait for his delivery.
In his time, he will come and the tempter show,
His beloved child, he will never let go.
His love is greater than our hearts can contain.
We must proclaim it loudly and praise his name.
Satan, when he hears our bold and joyful songs,
Will turn and run right back to where he belongs.
If you find you're lacking what you need today,
Jehovah-Jireh will provide on the way.
Or he'll give the strength you need to make it through
Until you've come to the place he's made for you.
Jehovah-Rapha, close by your side has been,
Bringing perfect healing to all pain within.
The great physician will patiently restore,
Making your life better than it was before.
He will gently cure both your body and soul,
Completely healing our bodies at our goal.
His blood frees us wholly from our crippling sin,
Enabling us to run all the way with him.
The Lord is our banner. If we hold him high
We will always know that victory is nigh.
Jehovah-Nissi creates a miracle
When the way appears to be too difficult.
Jehovah-Shalom, the author of our peace
Gives us hope and happiness that will ne'er cease
Then at last, when we finally see his face,
With the angels, we'll celebrate his grace.
Author's note:
There's a reason for the meter of this poem. Can you figure out what it is?

I really liked the salsa rhyming. "Blessed/all the rest", "forgive/to Him", "miracle/difficult".
What was the reason for the meter? I didn't catch it on my reading.
My guess is that your poem has the same meter as the hymn “Count Your Blessings”
Terrific job on this, such an uplifting read!
God bless~
