Stomp, stomp, clap
Pat the leg, clap-clap
Heart, heart, clap
Pat the leg
Clap
One, two, three, and four
Big wheels, keep on turnin’
Never thought that my thoughts
Would be narrowed down to this-
Dip your head,
Bow to the audience
Shuffle scoot spin.
Carry me home to see my kin...
Five and six seven-look right-eight
Hop hop hop hop
Line Dancing. In a church.
For a Christmas production
Right foot, out in out in out in kick
Hey! I think I actually might have the hang of this...
Left foot, out in out in out in kick
Up, up, feet splayed out, feet turned in
Can't lose my focus 'cause it gets tricky now!
Box step to the left, stop turn left
Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Show down and laugh with a woo!
What am I doing? I'm a writer—not a dancer.
I don't even know what these steps are called...
Headache; headache hat. Alabama strut your stuff..
Now it gets real tricky.
I can only hope that my legs cooperate with me
Crisscross crisscross. Kick to the left. Step.
Swing my right leg, slap the heel coming and going.
There we go, I think I did it! Now...
I hope I can repeat it without dying.
But, it is for God; so I will happily do whatever is needed.
Use those thumbs! Four times of get outta town
Don't forget to smile and laugh. This is fun after all.
Here comes my favorite part
AIR GUITAR!!
BAAA DAAAAAA!
Hats in the air; right left right
And we are safe back at the start.
You know, I might not be the best dancer
But once, I get the hang of these steps
I dare you--
Just try to keep up.
