The world is full of noise and chaos
But Your words whisper truth in my ears.
They comfort me.
"You are not alone. I love you."
You are Love.
How sweet is Your name, oh Lord, to my eyes.
I look around and see the suffering of this world.
But Your words are like a beautiful picture.
A majestic sight.
"In this world you will have trouble, but take heart!"
You are the Omnipotent One.
How sweet is Your name, oh Lord, to my nose.
The stench of this world is hard to bear.
But Your words are a sweet aroma.
A soothing scent.
"I will reign over all."
You are the King of Kings.
How sweet is Your name, oh Lord, to my lips.
The world leaves a bitter taste
But Your words are like sweet fruit.
You alone can satisfy.
"I am your refuge and portion."
You are Jehovah Jireh. My Provider.
How sweet is Your name, oh Lord, to my hands.
The world is dirty and rough, full of thorns and thistles.
But Your words are soft and gentle, like silk.
A security blanket for my soul.
"Come to Me all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest."
You are My Comforter.
You, oh, Lord, are my entire being.
In You I live and move and have my being.
Your name, Oh, Lord, is the sweetest thing I know.
You are my Rock and my Fortress.
You are Alpha and Omega, beginning and end.
You are
Eternal.
