By the great artist of the day—
Creative works beyond compare;
Astounded thousands stop and stare
At masterpieces hanging there.
The trees, the fields, the lakes sublime
So real I feel that I could climb
Inside the frames and be a part
Of these amazing works of art;
Such is the feel his works impart.
Through shade and colours brilliant use
The world I know is reproduced
I stand and gaze in awe, admire
These works that lift my senses higher
To worship Him Whose works inspire.
In halls of learning he’s acclaimed;
By everyone of note he’s named,
Throughout the world he’s recognised,
His paintings are so highly prized
His fame’s become immortalized.
How prone we are to venerate
Mere men whose best works imitate
Unrivalled masterpiece of One
Whose art can never be outdone
Whom art and art-world often shun?
So step inside the world God framed,
See brilliance everywhere proclaimed;
Experience His art first hand
Give Him the praise His works demand;
Acclaim His fame o little man!
