But I’m not older;
I swear it isn’t true;
My body’s just as healthy as it was at twenty-two.
Okay…
A few bones ache today
As they did the day before,
But that’s because I spent an hour slogging through a store.
I admit…
I’ve walked a faster pace,
But the words are small, you know;
How could any shopper read small print on shelves below?
No…
I don’t need glasses,
But thank you all the same;
The manager should raise the shelves so he’s the one to blame.
And yes…
I am complaining;
This ordeal gave me back pain,
Bending down to reach canned prunes, I thought I’d go insane.
Excuse me?
I can hear just fine,
And I don’t forget a thing;
I know every word to any song Sinatra sings.
Of course…
Now don’t correct me,
I’m not often addlebrained;
My mind just needs reminders and some news to be explained.
It’s true…
I dress old-fashioned,
But I know the current trends,
Just can’t see wearing saggy pants to show off my Depends.
Another year…
But I’m not older,
See, I’m younger every day;
Compared to my eternal life, I’m still a teen today.

I liked the message...and the comment about baggy trousers.
I can relate more and more each year.
