Our God made us expressive.
We speak with more than words.
The messages we send out,
Are sometimes seen not heard.
Listen to someone speaking,
Is it the truth or lies?
The best way to discern it,
Just look into their eyes.
A hand is raised in triumph,
If your team wins the game.
Experience a failure,
And hang your head in shame.
A new dad paces… waiting
For his first child to come.
A mother kneels in prayer
'Til her lost son comes home.
Greet a friend with open arms,
Or turn and walk away.
Sometimes our actions say more
Than words will ever say.
Do people know God loves them,
By our deeds and our speech?
Or does our body language
Say God is out of reach?
The purest form of language,
Can never be denied.
Jesus spread His arms out, and…
For love was crucified.
