I use to worked at a local car dealership. Everyday I had the privilege of watching this beautiful flag
from where I sat at my desk handling a car sale and typing registration and title work. It was the joy of my busy day admiring the American flag across the way at another dealership.
I have always respected the U.S.A. flag.... this country is where I was born free, stay free; not the case of so many citizens that I have read about in many countries, until sometimes it is almost impossible for me to sleep, because my heart is burdened for them. I can only imagine their circumstances.
When the heartbreak of nine-eleven hit, it put me in bed for three days...and I live in Alabama, but if you hurt one American, you hurt us all. Is that not right?
I wrote the following article in response to this event:
It has come to my inner understanding that I have been depressed concerning the terrorist situation in our nation and have felt helpless, almost useless in daily life: but I am not helpless nor useless. The best way I can help is to live, so to speak, in my own small portion of society, doing the best I can here, quote, “Normal.”
If I don’t carry on my life normally, then my part in the world is slack. If every U.S. individual is affected in this manner then our country, U.S.A., is out of balance and faltering!
So every citizen doing their best, wherever they live, will make a strong chain of unification for our country. A strong chain is hard to break.
God is blessing the U.S.A., one person at a time, one day at a time.
I wrote the following free verse poem in honor of our united and determined United States of America citizens.
USA
Pricked often and deeply
Where terrorists deem vulnerable
Wear and tear of
Our pin cushion emotions
Pierced from every angle, every depth
Each prick a different pain
Stabbing holes into
Our pin cushion emotions
Take a deep breath
Realize we can inhale, exhale
Knowing the offenders,
Ultimately will be overthrown
Justice will be champion here
The enemy only leaves scars
From having been here,
But scars do not destroy
They only remain as a reminder
That our pin cushion days no longer exist
We refuse to be pierced again
Becoming steel in our substance
A chain of steel
Strong from within
Victorious
United Stable America.
Today, the U.S.A. may be having economical problems, yet we are still united, stable and a strong
country...the United States of America., who also gives aid to so many other countries who depend on us.
No wonder God blesses the U.S.A...most U.S. citizens acknowledge the Trinity, depend on individual spiritual guidance and pray for our country’s blessings from God.
God also hears and answers our prayer requests...but pays attention to how we live. May we American citizens continue to please God, and may we continue to be the United Stable America...under God’s care...
and support.
