Hi! It's me, Jamie. But you probably already knew that. I'll bet you're surprised to be getting a letter from me. But I found some time to write.
You wouldn't believe how much fun I’m having! They have everything I ever dreamed of up here. Baseball, swimming, hiking, and the food is good too. I talk to God every day. Sometimes more than once a day. It's so much easier to talk to Him here than it is at home.
I've made a lot of new friends. I hope you can meet them some day. I know you miss me, but try not to cry too much, ok? We'll be seeing each other before we know it.

Dear Mom and Dad,
It's me again. I'm still having tons of fun here. I'm so happy here. I miss you sometimes, but it's ok, because my Counselor helps me feel better. He reminds me that we'll see each other again soon. I'm sorry this is so short, but one of my new friends wants me to go fishing, so I need to wrap this up.

Dear Mom and Dad,
Have I told you yet how beautiful this place is? You're probably surprised to hear your rough-and -tumble boy say that, but it's true. It's so cool. You just can't believe it until you're here. Pictures could never do it justice. The tress are so tall, and they are right by the river. The river is so clear you can see the fish swimming around.
The animals come right up to you. It's like they aren't even afraid. Sometimes I'll feed them some of the food and they'll eat it right out of my hand. I've never been this close before, and it's really cool. I think "cool" sums this place up pretty well.

Dear Mom and Dad,
I don't even know how long I've been here, but I never get bored. It's like I find something new to do every day. Almost like everyday I'm here is the very first day. And there are a lot of people here too. I keep making new friends every day. My Counselor is great. He reminds me we'll see each other soon whenever I get that look in my eyes. It's almost like he knows what I'm thinking. Isn't that cool?
I know you miss me, but I'm so happy here. It's different here, and I can't quite explain it. I'll see you soon.
