Sin atoned by the Son of God
Ancient edicts rules to live by erased
By the overwhelming power of grace
Blood of bulls of goats and lambs
Could only cover the sin of man
Six-hundred and thirteen laws
None could follow the rules of God
All have sinned and must pay the wage
Death always lurking to collect his pay
Then comes Jesus pure spotless Lamb
Remitted in blood the debt of man
Law fulfilled no longer required
For mankind to constantly strive
“It is finished!” the Saviour cried
Love conquered death the day He died
Grace alone now the door to freedom
No human effort can earn salvation
God is Love and Love the Law
For how to live in this fallen world
Come now weary sinner observe
Scarlet sin washed white in His blood
Cease your striving and bow the knee
Only Jesus can set your free
On a hill love fulfilled the law
