That sweet fellowship was shattered in the day that the wicked serpent slithered in and tricked them. The deceiver lured them into sin. The fellowship was broken and the communion that they shared came to an end. The Holy One could not look on the sin that stained His children. He had made them to be with Him in perfect fellowship. He had made them for relationship. Now, they were separated by sin’s dark dreadful grip.
Yet, God did not leave them alone to flounder in their sin. He gave His own life for theirs to bring them back to Him. Still, He calls for those who will hear to come and talk with Him. He calls each child to commune with Him in the quiet and still places.
In the cool of the evening, all creation holds its breath. The trees quiver as if whispering the story. The birds chirp quietly as if recounting the tale passed down through the generations of the joyous fellowship long ago in Paradise. All the little creatures come out together as if waiting for that day when that sweet fellowship of old will once again resume in Heaven’s Glory Land. How beautiful that day will be when we can once again worship our Maker face to face.
