2025 was a challenging year for the congregation, primarily because we became divided and remain somewhat separated. Many sought to remove the Pastor from his position because they felt he was not capable of leadership, as he was dealing with a memory issue. Some of us prayed for divine intervention, trusting that God's power is at work among us.
At the dawn of 2026, the Lord changed things around, and as I see it, it will take a process for him to step down. He knows he must train someone to take his place, a vital step for our church's stability. He has already identified that one. Others may desire the position.
New beginnings in the Bible speak of divine renewal and spiritual transformation through faith in Jesus. We believe God is doing a new thing. He is bringing us together; that I speak by faith. Most of us are trying to leave the old behind and start anew in Christ Jesus, which can inspire us to pursue ongoing spiritual growth.
I thank God for what He is doing and so much for His faithfulness.
The Bible reminds us in Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV), “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” This fills us with hope, knowing God's mercies are renewed daily, encouraging our trust in His ongoing care.
It is ongoing work, and I look forward to seeing reconciliation among us. God is able, and His power to restore and renew gives us hope for spiritual growth and unity.
