What’s in the Voice that saves me free and unafraid?

What’s in the Voice in the cool of the day, they freeze?
The sun’s setting, latched in evening breeze.
Why skedaddle?
Foliage safe round a-girdle.
The Voice, their trembling knees seize?

“Where are you?” gentle words brace forth an expectation.
Let’s reason together, He thought, wanting an explanation.
“We are shaken”
“We’re hiding, we’ve eaten.”
From the Garden that sheltered them, away went the sweet conversation.

What’s in the Voice Abram secured the promise?
“Through you, Abram, I will be the eternal alliance.
All the families on earth,
A promise to one’s worth.
Every soul will seek healing, goodness, faithfulness, mercy.

What’s in the Voice’s ‘thunder and lightning’?
Defying fear out in the wilderness, I’m wondering.
His power persists
His goodness keeps.
His kindness fastens me with purpose and meaning.

The Voice within my soul frees me from fear and doubt.
The Good Shepherd guides me, and I hear Him about.
when I’m in danger,
He guards my haven,
Though fierce fear assails, courage drowns it out.

The voice of the Eternal, blessed is He-- armor in every battle
Though mountains darken in clouds and they crumble,
I stand unmoved,
All fear removed.
The eyes of the LORD are in every place walks me safe, will not make me stumble.

Thus, His Presence-- the Voice of the LORD.
Ever so kind, gentle and eternally good.
My soul rests
in Him always,
Worthy is His Name His mercies, endures forever more.

Enjoyed your poetic meditation on the Voice of the Lord - from the Lord confronting Adam and Eve after the Fall, to the Voice that comforts and gives us security in the wilderness days of our lives.
I liked your form of using two long lines, followed by two short lines and completing the thought with a long line for each stanza.
