Love the Lord Your God
with all Your heart
all Your mind
and all Your soul
It is crystal clear
that You want to reign
In my heart
my mind
and my soul
What will life be for me
if my heart is ruled
by my desires
and my wants
Will I become the most self-centred
What will life be for me
if my mind is engrossed
In my needs
and personal gains
Will I become more egocentric
What will life be for me
if my soul is so devoted
to idols that tempt
and dominate me
Will I lose the joy of salvation
It is crystal clear
that I should guard
my heart my soul and my mind
to be single hearted
in following my King
Risen Lord , Creator and Saviour
May I yield my mind
my soul and my spirit
to Your claim
over my whole being
