I’ve ever known —He’s the one
I’ve enjoyed hanging out with
He’s super wise and intelligent
Once an unforgiving crowd
wants to stone
a woman caught in adultery
He invites those who are sinless
to cast the first stone
Some religious leaders
and Herodians want to trap Him
asking if they should pay tax
to Ceasar or not
He invites them to look at a coin
Whose image is this
Whose inscription
Soon comes the wisest reply
Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s
unto God what is God’s
Brilliant indeed
is His answer
His IQ excels
and matches well
with His EQ
The cleverest Man
on earth preaches
a sermon that still stands
though thousand years ago
we still feel its impact
Don’t worry about
what you eat or drink
is life not more than food
the body more than clothes
Can worrying add a single hour to life
Do not worry about worry
Tomorrow will bring its own worries
Today’s trouble is enough for today
So live from day to day
the moderns call it mindful living
Truly super intelligent is He
He expresses intelligence
in love, care and wisdom
Never will He ride rough shot
nor put His hearers down
This is why I always enjoy
hanging out with Him
He promises that He will
not leave me nor forsake me
What an amazing friend is He
How privileged
I get to interact with Him
accessing His wisdom and thoughts
speaking daily through the Living Word
that I will learn from Him
