Such was Jesus’ divine mission,
Begotten Son of all - Lover!
He tasted the bitters of humanity,
Forewent His celestial glory,
For sinful man’s terrestrial redemption.
And when crucified on wooden cross,
That credentialed man to eternal life;
Man, thereafter, candidated -
His life in his Maker's insured dominion.
And to you fellow mortals,
Temporal temporary nothing-to-dos,
Have you reciprocated that bountiful love?
His life, Saviour, gave away,
Your task is – to give up your sins -
That valueless burden
That strangely estranges you from Him.
Yes, bountiful love,
For those many years have I
Become cognizant of thy sacrifice.
Tentatively have I tested these bondages
That bind my flesh everywhere.
My love, my faith can't singe them.
Humanly have I wondered
What it is that I lack?
Shall I be bondaged till when?
Was there a journey so painful
Like Calvary place of skulls,
Like that Simon of Cyrene bore?
Was there a tomb so privileged like Joseph’s,
Mary Magdalene’s essences
And myrrhs like Nichodemus’ brands?
Between Pilates’s Palace and Golgotha;
Between Friday, Sabbath and Sunday;
Between suffering and Calvary exchange;
Between first, second and last Adam;
Between Old and New Testament,
Lies that deep ocean of, not water, but AGAPE.
Glory be to Abba, Father!

I also struggle to understand why I'm so committed to a perfect God yet sin. I know I'm just adding more weight to Him on His cross.
At the same time, He knew exactly what He was getting into. He knew it so specifically that He sweat blood. And He did it anyway!!
