Dear LORD,

You met me in my darkest hour
with quietness and grace.
You sat beside me while I grieved
the loss that I had faced.

In silence Your heart mourned with mine
and tended to my wounds.
You nourished me with tenderness
through sorrows I consumed.

With vigilance and heartfelt care
You washed my woes away.
You gave me hope where there was none
and rid me of dismay.

The tenderness and love you showed
revived my heart and soul.
It brought me from a darkened world—
a world that took its toll.

Your kindness was encouraging
and helped my eyes to see
the blessings and the loveliness
each day You offer me.

You blessed me with such peace and joy—
I now feel so alive.
I’m ever grateful for the time
You helped me to survive.

I praise and thank You, Father God—
for coming to my aid.
You never left my side, dear LORD—
I’m grateful that You stayed.
