Oh, good! Well, did you ever hear of Diogenes? There’s an old Greek legend about some guy named Diogenes who went all around that country carrying a lantern and looking for an honest man. I guess he made a reputation for himself. But, in the end, he never found a completely honest man.
Why am I telling you about it? Well, I'm thinking about how to drum up some more business at the car dealership. My idea was to do something like Diogenes did. I’m gonna rename the business and call it Integrity Motors. So, I want you to find me a man of integrity who I can use in my commercials. I’ll call him Mr. Integrity. He’ll be like a superhero.
Well, you get it, don't you? It's a car dealership. Everyone makes jokes about how car dealers are dishonest, and this will be a way to show everyone my dealership is the one they can trust. Well, I don't know where you’re going to find one, Ronnie. I guess you know better than to look at City Hall or at the campaign office of that joker who’s running for Senator. Of course, it won’t be a politician. If I knew who to get, I’d ask him myself.
I know, Ronnie, I know. If I have somebody who pretends to be Mr. Integrity, that’s kind of the opposite of real integrity. But how is that different than a cartoon bird or tiger that pretends to love cereal? And after all, it’s easier to hire some Mr. Integrity guy to convince everyone to blindly trust me. Look, find me someone. For Pete’s sake, there’s gotta be a man of integrity somewhere in this town, right?
Right?
