The world began in utter silent breath
of words heaven and earth faintly heard.
Trees and herbs rustled,
Bees bustled; serpent hissed.
Man worked the ground, not a sigh. Not a murmur.
He prayed.
Roots burrowed under her feet, cool soil squished.
Leaves whispered to each other in the orchard.
As soon as a whir
of breezy swift stir,
She mumbles, “We can’t touch any fruit”, she hushed.
Evil taunted and summoned the heart.
It tasted so gratifying, mouths licked full of it.
Hushed tones
of shame bemoans.
Lament and grief; flutter of angels’ wings ushered them out.
Banished from the Garden, carried away
captive, griping at death to face its constant battle.
“We implore You,
O, God of Heaven.”
Their conscience decried, cast down in lament.
The world breathes and lives by Heaven’s grace.
Words of its Creator fill it with loving kindness.
Slow to anger,
Gentle voice of Anchor
“When you shall call on Me, ask Me, and I will listen to you.”
Jeremiah 29:7 “Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to Yahweh for it; for in the peace of it shall you have peace.
Jeremiah 29:13 “You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.”
Deuteronomy 4:7 “For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as Yahweh our God is whenever we call on Him?
