Finally, I did it. I’ve escaped from the city to a country timber dwelling. The dense forest behind and open hills before me. A creek runs through nearby.
Surrounded by looming hills and towering trees. Hiking trails crossing the paths of kangaroos, ostriches, rabbits and foxes lead to picturesque lakes and waterfalls.
I sat in the veranda overlooking the hills, sun beaming. I think in calm stillness about Noah safe in the ark’s cabin, as I am in my cottage. In Noah’s world, the world was drowning in tumult and chaos because every human’s imagination of the heart was remote from the safe presence of God.
To my heart's content, a rejuvenating sense of an unharried moment of redemption fills to overflowing. A soft grace of peace from the daily grind and whirlwind my little world consists of. The smile of God shines all over me and the nature around me.
Noah had built the ark and its many quarters awaiting divine act of God in redeeming the world. If the world had repented and stopped for a moment. If only the human thoughts and hearts considered their standing before the holy God, they would have joined Noah in the ark who found favour to be set apart from the pending judgement.
The heaviness of the rain clouds waited for the great Word to pour out into the earth.
I am--and I have-- the sanctity of my personal haven of rest in my dwelling place. Within the confines of my mind, heart and soul is the Word-- the Ark of God—I am safe in His Presence.
Noah saw the threshold of God’s patience in His plan of redemption for the world. God’s plan to finish what He said to complete—the Ark and seal it—within the hearts of man.
God kept His Word—the Ark—to save. But the world took the Ark--a covenant of salvation—for granted.
And the world refuse to see.
I have seen the salvation of the LORD. And I have entered it through faith in his Anointed Son, Yeshua. Noah, within the one-hundred twenty years of building the ark, he was righteous and an upright man who walked with God saw it, too.
Noah, “Come into the ark,” finally God said to him. While the floodwaters raged amidst the turmoil and decadent world.
In my daily walk with God, He instructs me
Come into My dwelling place
I will show you My instructions
I will show you life
I will make My dwelling place
your delight and peace and safety.
I close the day of rest and rejuvenation in my little cabin. The amber coloured sky is setting and coming to a close to welcome the night watch.
Good night. Sleep is sweet. I will lie down in sleep and in peace.
Until tomorrow. I will we walking down the lake. Perhaps, pick five stones.
