There’s a grace
That abides

A love
That’s felt

In the wind

There’s a peace
A calm

Unexplained

No need
for reason
or shame

Just rest

Peace a claim
As Father gave
A place

Sanctuaried
Silence

A cabin in the woods

A house of calm resolve

Trees, grass
And all of that

Fire in hearth
And heart

A book at snow
Or rain’s
Appearing

Water
A necessity

Here
my soul
Is refreshed

Peace
abides
At this place

No longer
In fear
Or strife

No thoughts
Of angst
Or worry

No worldly
Pleasures
Beckoning

I can be
Still
Be me

Whole
At last

In the quiet
In the calm

He is here
He is here

With me

At the cabin
Where I find
Rest

At the house of calm resolve

I surrender
Yet stand

Somehow
Stronger

My statement
Of defiance
To the world

I will listen
To Him here

In the wind
In the trees
He created

Do not tell me
There’s no God

For I can feel Him
Here

I can see Him
Here

At the cabin

At the house of calm resolve

I can sense
His love
For me

We are still,
Together

No folly
Of the world
Allowed

Here
It is forbidden

Simplicity
The order
Of the day

I calm
My soul

Here

A refuge
A sanctuary
A shelter

From the storm

What delight
What joy
I take

In my God

At the cabin
In the woods
Built for me
