Can you imagine going on a trip
Where you don’t have to pack?
Leaving in such an abrupt hurry
You don’t have time to look back
Can you imagine going on a trip
When you don’t know when you’ll leave?
One moment you’re doing whatever
The next, your trip you receive
Can you imagine going on a trip
And the cost has already been paid?
It was purchased with His blood
Your trip will never be delayed
Can you imagine going on a trip
To a place prepared just for you?
A place the Bible tells us about
Awaiting the saints to come view
Can you imagine going on a trip
Where we meet Jesus on a cloud?
How that beacon of love awaits
Of His church, He is so proud
Can you imagine going on a trip
Where you will be eternally at peace?
No more Satan to tempt us
No more sickness, pain, or disease
Can you imagine going on a trip
Where your family you will see?
The ones who ran the narrow path
Awaiting a reunion victoriously
Can you imagine going on a trip
Where we set up residency there?
Not having to come back here
And deal with heartache and despair
Can you imagine going on a trip
Where you will see the King?
It is humbling and exciting to think
Of the joy to us that it will bring
Can you imagine going on a trip
Where you will spend your eternity?
A place of joy, love, and peace
Where you rest at your Savior’s knee

The thymic and repetitive ‘can you imagine’ reminded me of my Australian land in its almost palpable heartbeat. Can You Imagine A Saviour?
Thank you.
No Bags to Pack is well constructed and communicated well. It flowed smoothly from beginning to end.
The last two lines in stanza one I pictured a person confused and probably think what’s going on? I can’t look back.
The last two lines in the last stanza there is no confusion just Joy, love and peace and sitting with Jesus.
Thank you for your work and keep writing.
