of the vaccine they say will help
Remember
They pounded their nails into Him
When officials pound
On your door in the night
Demanding that you give account
Remember
They pounded their nails into Him
When you’ve gained a few pounds
From the lockdown
And you are not allowed into the gym
Remember
They pounded their nails into Him
When they pounded the idol
Onto the block
And still offer you idols today
Remember
They pounded their nails into Him
When they pound on the chest
Of a loved one near death
As a result of this pandemic
Remember
They pounded their nails into Him
When you feel the heat
And pound fists in frustration
Angry at this worldly mess
Remember
They pounded their nails into Him
When God uses that fire
And pounds you on the anvil
Molding you into His image
Remember
They pounded their nails into Him
When one day we see
The poundings stop
The headaches and idols and death
We will remember
They pounded our nails into Him
When faith becomes sight
And the world is made right
And we are pounding the enemy’s head
We will remember
They pounded our nails into Him
So when troubles come
And the pounding is hard
And you think that you’re all alone
Remember still
Look up and within
They pounded your nails into Him
