God is Light
Those who Love as He Loves
Live in Light
Live in Love
Live in God
A worthy goal
for which to aim
Purposeful
Passionate
Pursuit
To be like Jesus
To do what He did
To Love as He Loved
To shine His Light
This is the cry of my heart
This is the desire of my soul
This is the longing of my spirit
To live steadfast
Intentional
On target
But my love is not God’s Love
And too often I rely on
Its convenience instead
So I veer off course
Lose purpose
Fall to Complacency’s tickle
I betray His Commission
I cease to follow His laid down
On rough hewn wood
Written in blood
Example
But even in this state
Unloveable
Undeserving
Darkheartedness
Failure
His invitation still rings
Echoing through millenia
“Follow Me!”
I
Like all earthenware
Chose my path
Breath by Breath
I WILL to
Chart course
From His perspective
To stay His charge
Or I WILL to
Not
The summons is clear
And open to whosoever WILL
Jesus never veiled His ways
He refused to talk in whispers
He is Truth
He is the Way
He is Life
If I truly fully desire Him
My mission is as clear
As His eye
Die to self
Choice by choice
Be raised
IN HIM
Breath by breath
A worthy goal
for which to aim
Purposeful
Passionate
Pursuit
To be like Jesus
To do what He did
To Love as He Loved
To shine His Light

Those who Love as He Loves
Live in Light
