Looks back and sees it’s God’s design,
Dismisses our ascent from slime,
Big bang theory’s asinine,
Rejects atheism’s paradigm.
True faith believes all God has said,
The Word of truth its daily bread,
Sees man’s philosophies as dead,
The products of a world misled
That’s swallowed Satan’s lies instead.
True faith grows from a little seed
To be the foremost plant indeed
That can’t be choked by thorn or weed,
The watered word meets every need
So growth in grace is guaranteed.
True faith has feet that firmly stand
On solid rock, not sinking sand,
Sees life as having purpose grand,
Puts total trust in the Son of Man
To bring to pass all God has planned.
True faith has feet that run the race
Not in fitful bursts but steady pace,
It’s not by might but is all of grace,
Has loose attachments to this place
But longs to see Christ face to face.
With feet of faith and gospel shod
Walk the narrow road that saints have trod
With Christ beside to the throne of God.
