Come out into the sunlight and dance with me again
I’ve long forgotten your mistakes, I don’t see them anymore
Don’t you know I look at you as one worth dying for?
You feel as though you’ve failed me, that you can’t come home again
You think that you’re unworthy, that I’ll somehow love you less
The truth is that there is no sin my power can’t forgive
My death and resurrection gave you every right to live
You have no need to turn away; you’re covered by my grace
Take my hand, be free once more, Why do you hesitate?
I’m here waiting with open arms; they long to take you in
Come out into the sunlight and dance with me again
I know The World will try to make you think that you are safe,
Hiding in the shadows where no one knows your name
He’ll tempt you with his sultry eye; you’ll bow before his charms;
But soon enough you will discover that he only means you harm
He doesn’t want what’s best for you; he only wants your soul
Then once it’s his he’ll leave you lost and broken on the floor
Everything he gave to you, he’ll demand it back and then
You’ll spend every waking hour wishing you were mine again
My love, the longer that you stay there hiding in the dark
The less time I have to spend with you; I cannot go to where you are
You must decide you love me more than the pain you’re in
Emerge from darkened shadows and dance with me again
I see The World is pulling you, but I’ll do everything I must
To make sure you are safe within my ever-loving arms
I wish that you could understand how time is not our friend
Every moment wasted is more steps we could have danced
Please come back and know that I will never leave your side
I’ll be yours forever; you’ll be my perfect bride
The past will be wiped clean, we can begin anew
Stop waiting and come run to me, I long to dance with you
