Our insides are simply raving,
For the milk from mother's breast,
Gently flowing to give us rest.
As children we yearn for attention,
From our mothers, not to mention,
The way we long to live and grow,
With laughter as we reap and sow.
Our love is filled with such desires,
At times, the world puts out our fires,
Yet, always, our inner flames will burn,
Our spirits will forever yearn.
Throughout our lives, we pine for peace,
From somewhere inside, a rich release,
Some will search and never find,
An oasis to ease their mind.
In later years, we seek salvation,
For life's desires and recreation,
That came to us, but with a cost,
Often times, our souls were lost.
Hungering for another taste,
Our lives sometimes became a waste,
Satisfaction could not be bought,
Mercy from God was often sought.
Always striving to fill a need,
Life longs for itself, indeed,
In the end, we'll find our flavor,
In Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
