Splash into a sea of poetry.
Let iridescent drops of words
Penetrate to your heart
And warm you like the coziest fire
On the coldest of days.
Delight in waves of verse.

Splatter stories indiscriminately
To entertain and amuse,
To excite and amaze,
To take you long ago and faraway
To places you have never been before.
Rev up your imagination.

Sprinkle gleams of wisdom,
Sparkles of comfort,
Dewdrops of inspiration,
Spatters of challenge,
Liquid particles of faith.
Revitalize your soul.

Dash headfirst into billows of sound,
Sweet syllables on your tongue.
Delight in reverberations.
Thrill to timbre and tone,
Rich resonance of music.
Satisfy your senses.

Jump into currents of emotion,
Teased by sun-sparked spray
Of love and tenderness
Or dampened by melancholy,
Fear, and anger.
Bathe in sensations.

Plunge into images of beauty,
Spattering majesty of mountains,
Enchantment of sunrises and sunsets,
The charm, the elegance, and the grace
Of all God’s great creation.
Feed your aesthetic hunger.

Splash into a sea of poetry—
Delight in waves of verse.

I think that this is super creative. I really enjoyed all the different verbs that you used to start each stanza. The words flow and are a work of art. Very descriptive!

Loved this...and as delightful as it was contemplating the scenes and places and worlds a poem could take you to—it took me even beyond that—into pondering...
what if we could witness God creating, it would be like splashing into a sea of poetry...God’s poetry coming to life.
I enjoyed the read and where it took my thoughts!

Each element of poetry (stories, words, wisdom, sounds, emotions, images)has its own stanza and is beautifully paralleled with the ocean. (And each element of poetry was flawlessly incorporated into the structure of this!) This is perfect for April--poetry month! Super congrats, dear friend!
