Would you send a “friend request”?
There’s not a one He won’t “confirm,”
And all His friends are blessed.
Would you write Him birthday greetings
In a message on His wall?
Would you say how much you love Him
Where it could be seen by all?
Would you send a private message
And receive one every day?
Would you thank Him for His blessings,
Then for needs of others, pray?
Would you worry that He’s noticing
The pictures that you post,
The subjects that you write about,
And the kind of things you boast?
Would you check His status every day
To see what’s written there,
And for His words of comfort,
Would you first hit “like,” then “share”?
This new friend you’ve made on Facebook—
Can He trust you to be true?
Though you sometimes might “unfriend” Him,
He will never “unfriend” you.
You should find new friends to send Him,
God of mercy and of grace,
And in tomorrow’s someday,
Plan to meet Him face to face.
