And sorrow has drawn hope from your heart;
When your arms seem too short,
And your grasp is beyond its reach;
When your limbs wither,
And your body pleads relief;
When the blush of youth fades,
And your work is met with indifference;
When your spirit pants beside shallow waters,
And bitterness taints your tongue;
When no light reaches your darkness,
And no touch sooths your fevered brow;
When sound is an empty vacuum,
And fragrance is heady with naught;
When your dreams are but shadows,
And your body holds no sun;
Know this:
Your soul is among lions;
Defended by God.
He is your hiding place,
Surrounding you with love.
Be glad;
And trust only in Him.
By oath
Our God cannot lie.
By the faith and strength
Within your sinews;
Rise up by the pool of Bethesda.
God will hold you - you will not fall.
By love of others, once be lifted down
From the roof and into His midst.
Rejoice,
As David rejoiced.
The praise from your lips
Will fan the flame of hope;
Its light will
Chase the darkness.
Dance as
David danced.
Living water will spring forth,
And sweeten your tongue.
God is reaching down
To touch your halted limbs.
The sound of His voice
Will assure you.
Stir up the gifts inside you
For their fragrance reaches God
Pray, I encourage you;
Pray.
He will listen,
And you will be renewed
Blessed assurance
From the King of Kings
We, His handiwork,
Recreated in Christ Jesus,
Prisoners of
Hope and eternal love.
Restoring light to
Darkened souls.

God will hold you - you will not fall." Beautiful, well-thought out writing!
Defended by God." Very nice use of imagery.
