Just like you, I have a bible. As I have read it these thoughts emerged…
It is written: “Sing unto the Lord a new song.”
I said: “But Lord, I don’t know the words or the melody.”
He said: “That’s okay. We’ll just make them up as we walk together.”
It is written: “Jesus wept.”
I said: “Why, Lord?”
He said: “Because I care.”
It is written: “Oh, my soul is cast down.”
I said: “And my life is falling apart.”
He said. “Why don’t we just get up and soar higher in my keeping?”
It is written: “Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”
I said: “You want me to be rough and ready?”
He said: “No. I want you to depend on me.”
It is written: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”
I said:(after breaking my leg) “These crutches and this cast really do dismay me. I hate this!”
He said: “You did not hear me. Fear not, for I am with you in all your life lessons; be not dismayed for I am your God.”
My final conversation is between you and me. “I hope He has spoken to you through my life battles; and you will not be dismayed, for He is your God, too.”
