Delight abounds if you care to revere it.
I'm not the mirth the world calls fun,
In temporal pursuit of lust on the run.
I am rich healing of every wounded part,
To enlighten the mind and restore the heart.
I must, however, warn those bitter of soul,
By choosing scorn, you won't become whole.
All that's bitter will surely turn sour,
As truth is darkened in sin-drenched power.
Joy is sweetness, forever digging deep,
Transforming dead parts formerly asleep.

Hello, I'm joy, the fruit of God's Spirit.
Open your heart, and you will gladly hear it.
Be hungry for truth that leads to delight,
Tested through trials that lessen the fight.
You won't receive joy if we are not one,
As joy comes only through life in My Son.
He bids you come freely and pick the Divine,
As joy's eternal fruit is gladness from His vine.
