Leviticus?
You started out in Genesis,
And things were going well.
The garden was easy.
The flood flowed.
Then you made the Exodus,
Crossing the Red Sea.
But now you’re in Leviticus.
They’re camp’in the desert
And it’s getting really dry.
Keep the rules
rules,
rules,
rules.
Or else you’re gonna
Die
Do this.
Don’t eat that.
Celebrate now.
Don’t touch that.
The standard is crushing.
The list is overwhelming.
But could it be
Woven thru the fabric of the laws,
judgements,
and ordinances,
The theme is really
L. O. V. E.
Why not worship another God?
But who does that say I love?
Why not kill, rape, and steal?
But who does that say I love?
We catapult through histories,
The Psalms,
And the prophets.
Let’s talk about Jesus.
What are his thoughts of the
Rules, rules, rules?
Perfectly keeping,
Not most
But
All!
Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of the Law.
Jesus Christ, the definition of love.
