Wars. Rumours of wars. Conflicts. Divisions. Quarrels. Hatred. Revenge. Rebellions.
Well—Jesus said that in the world we will have troubles. John 16:33.
Remember that back in the Garden of Eden, troubles came in as soon as Eve listened to the devil rather than obeying God.
And in that first human family—murder! Cain killed Abel, his own brother.
From the beginning of the human race, disunity has predominated.
2026 is typical of human history.
However, despite so much looking hopeless, there is hope!
Where?
One!
One word!
One Person!
Jesus!
“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” 1Timothy 1:15.
Jesus is the only one who can reconcile people to each other.
How?
Because he came to reconcile us to himself.
Sin separates every person from God
Sin separates us from one another.
And we need to be at one with each other.
Jesus received the consequences of our sins on the Cross at Calvary.
In suffering like that, Jesus reunited sinners to His Father.
Sinners like me and you at one with God.
What a precious word for our Challenge this week!
