Back in the late 1970s my wife and I owned a piece of land on which we grew trees and shrubs as a horticultural nursery. With our four children we lived in a very big caravan.
Seven years on and after much thought and prayer and getting official permission we began building a house! My father had been in the building industry so he guided me in planning the foundations and the beginnings of the walls.
That was in 1983.
We couldn’t afford to employ a builder so in between seeing to nursery customers, I did most of the building myself.
My dear wife was brilliant with all her help and encouragement.
The virtue that stood out most strongly was her amazing patience!
Later during that building period she had to cope with having breast cancer.
Eventually we got there and moved into our lovely completed house!
How long from beginning to end?
How long did she have to be patient?
Seventeen years waiting for our house!
Patience indeed!
“Love is patient and kind.” 1 Corinthians 13:4 NLT

It is that way with our Heavenly Father that wants us to be patient and rely on Him to complete His mission to share Jesus love with others before He comes back, where we have a home waiting for us in heaven if we chose to believe
