Victorious warriors not only read the word but speak the Word. Our two-edged swords are wielded, our faith is shielded against the darts of the enemy. Our belt is that of Truth. The truth that we are more than conquers and rising from our knees we throw aside all that hinders.
Victorious warriors are the ones that pause to kneel; like David at the stream, collecting pebbles. We march quietly against the rebels; like Joshua daring to dream that impenetrable walls will some day fall. Until then it’s time to shout and with blaring trumpets declare God’s victory.
Victorious warriors are those who turn up day after day, until it is finished. We do this because God has commanded us. He knows that one day our Jericho walls will fall away. We wear our armour even though we do not feel that we are the tallest, the strongest or the broadest.
Victorious warriors are those spiritual singers and powerful pray-ers who stack up each prayer, layer upon layer, before we step out to face an enemy. A foe who is already finished. Vanquished by God, already defeated. We are the ones that have already surrendered.
