Good point.

The author's use of rhyme and rhythm gives the reader a feeling or rapid-fire spoken word. The ending with its irony offers little hope, and, yet that's what the world needs to hear from us.
You make some powerful points. It's the antithesis of the topic word, but your last line drives the point home. It's a sobering message and fits in the world today.
I just wanted to point out one little thing that I am more to blame. I'm terrible at remembering and reading titles. It wasn't until I came back to see who wrote this that I read the title and it clicked. Technically the title is jot part of the judging criteria, but in case there's more people like me who is bad at looking at or remembering titles, you may want to include a tidbit of the title in the beginning. Perhaps start it off with a description of the anchor fidgeting in chair as he scanned over headlines on his desk or teleprompter. Add some body language about his discomfort in all of the bad news, maybe even a little editorial about the world needing peace, love and kindness to touch on the topic a bit more. I still love your last line. The first time I read it, I actually snorted. I'm a big sucker for a good twist or tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and you did not disappoint in that area for a second. Even upon the second reading, I still chuckled. Keep writing and I'd also encourage you to read and comment on as many entries as you can. When I joined almost 15 years ago, I did just that and learned as much if not more about my own writing. I do see your name often in comments already, so you are doing great, but don't hesitate to leave feedback on level 4 entries too.
