Well another nightmare. In this one the Devil has me cornered. My sins are many and I I can't get away. It has been this way since I was a little boy. No matter how I try the frightening dreams come back every night. I fought to wake up but my dreams held me captive. How I wish my mom was still alive. She always had a way to sooth my trembling body, and wiping away the tears.
But now I am alone in my swear covered bed. Nobody to help me forget the torture of my dreams. Each night it's the same thing. I am lose in the rain with Satan's hideous laughter ringing in my ears.
He is whispering you can get away from me. You have sinned against God and He is mad. You are condemned to be a lost soul in the fiery pits of Purgatory.
I fight to wake up, but the dreams had its grip on me. The fire is all around me. I am on fire too. yet I do not die. The fire consumes me over and over again.
I can smell and feel my flesh burning. Will this ever end. I scream "wake up"!! The dream continued its ghastly hold never to let go.
Suddenly I am awake shivering and covered with sweat, the sheets were soaked with sweat. I got out of bed and kneel next to it. Dear God I am so frightened, can You save me from my nightmares. They have plagued me for thirty five years now. I know You are mad at me for my sins. Please find it in Your heart to forgive me? The dreams are dragging me down.
Deep inside me I heard a Voice. "You have finally ask for forgiveness. I love you. You have wandered for a long time. But I am always near, I will never leave you nor forsake you. now you go back to sleep and I will be there to protect you. "
Obediently I climbed back in my bed. the sheets were dry and smelt like they had just been washed. Slowly I started to drift off to sleep. I fought sleep for fear of the nightmares would come back. A sleep took hold of me, and a warmth covered me.
In the dream I saw a Man tending His sheep. A lamb wandered off and the Man left the other sheep. He hunted it until He found it caught in a bush and crying. Tenderly He freed the frightened lamb. He picked it up and draped it over His shoulders, carrying
it backed to the flock, where He reunited it with its mother.
I began to realize that the Man was Jesus and I was the lamb. Joy filled my heart and the dream went on the show me I was a child of the Most High God, and He loved me. From that day on I was not afraid to go to sleep. The nightmares were gone and I knew that God watched over me. Thank You God I love You.

An interesting take on the topic. Watch your tenses. They jumped around from past to present and back again.
A very descriptive piece.
If this does not place, it will be because of proof-reading errors. There are a few times when you use the wrong word (typos) like swear instead of sweat, lose instead of lost. Also a few sentences that need a capital letter at the start and an extra "the" there you changed the sentence and left it in.
Excellent entry into your diary and into the Challenge.
