relaxed with her resources
her generous act stems from her gift of attitude
and the love she has for Jesus
what a shining example for me
She strikes me for being unconventional
or less rigid
She not only willingly pays the price
of sacrifice
,a dent in her savings,
but also a dent in her pride
,kneeling at Jesus' feet to anoint Him
,wiping His feet with her sweeping hair
amidst the consternation of the rest
Come on, Judas
Why are you so uptight?
You seem to be bothered by Mary's sacrifice
You even work it out
to be a year's wages
It is her sweet-smelling aroma
that fills the area
But you claim
to speak for the poor
You cannot hoodwink the Lord
--you merely want to line your pocket
with the enormous sum
You are concerned
with your private agenda
Jesus is poised and open
He tells the rogue off
He commends her
for her farsightedness
In anointing Him
;she is preparing for His burial
and resurrection
When the situation
justifies
or is deemed appropriate
help me to forget
about my dignity
and reputation
and opt for flexibility and open-mindedness
