I lived a life of sinning
always ran around.
Seemed there was no answer
There’s none that I had found.

Nothing there to bug me
was blind and could not see.
I wandered all around
to find what I’d be.

It’s what I remember
that made me so afraid.
I was growing older
nearer to my grave.

I knew He was angry
at all the things I do.
I’m filled with sadness
and pain I’m going through.

I’m a lowly sinner
with burdens on my back.
And my sins are many
so much that I’ve lost track.

I finally gave up
and on the curb I sat.
Could not find a reason
to be where I was at.

Then I heard a whisper
just above my head.
“I am always with thee
remember what I’ve said.”

When I looked up I saw
there’s nothing but the sky.
Could not find who was there
there was no place to hide.

I seen people standing
they said “we’ll carry you home.”
I began a new life
like none I’ve ever known.

If you’re in the darkness
and cannot find your way.
I promise He will help you
just bow your head and pray.

Ask then for forgiveness
of all the sins you know.
Your sins will be forgiven
you’ll be as pure as snow.
