wondered day and night.
My sins there were so many
I must have been a sight.
Father, why was I sinning
in the middle of a prayer?
I was afraid of what You’d do
I knew that You were there.
I really tried my hardest.
but sin just got to me.
I felt like I was swirling
in the middle of a sea.
Then I was so downhearted
I wept both day ‘n night.
All my tries were crumbling down
nothing would turn out right.
Father, please don’t look away
when I am deep in sin.
I know you’re there. You see me.
Please, please Lord, take me in.
Can You give me the strength
to stay off evilness?
It is cluttering my mind
Lord I am such a mess.
I know it will always be
That You answer every prayer.
In Your arms I take comfort
I hope God, You are there.
You pick me up and love me
You even know my name.
I thank You, Heavenly Father,
I am so glad You came.
“Son, I have always been here.
I’ve seen your every fall.
I’ve seen you in the gatherings
You did not heed my call.
That’s when God lifted me
so high I felt so free.
My heavy load was lifted;
I was blind, but now I see.
Our Father always loves us
no matter what we do.
He’s there for both you and me
He always sees us through.
No words can express enough
of how He takes our sin.
We will live beneath his wings
a new life we’ll begin.
