The headlines on the paper at the weekend read: Tourist parks in New South Wales have joined New Zealand parks in banning Wicked Campers. Wicked Campers operate in many countries; the US, Canada, Uk, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Japan and South America.

There is a petition trying to stop these campers travelling across to Tasmania on the ferry. People do not like to see photos on social media of their business with a Wicked Camper parked in front. Other states have similar petitions, not to close down the company but to get the company to remove the offensive slogans. The government seem to have their hands tied and do nothing.

In Australia and New Zealand these brightly painted camper vans are covered with racist, politically incorrect, sexist slogans. Some of these slogans demean women and at worst are gutter sex. When the Premier of Queensland tried to do something about it, a van was painted with a cartoon of her, legs apart with a comment covering her intimate area. Nothing is sacred or off limits to this company.

The owner is a millionaire, travelling the world, looking after his business in many countries. Last week he was in Canada; he leaves for South Africa today.
His main clients are backpackers.
Walking into his office naked earns a free days hire. He hires naked backpackers to work behind the counter, the police swoop and the papers have a field day. He gets lots of free advertising because of the pressure of the media. No matter how bad the report is on current affair programs it does not faze him at all. He is insouciant, he does not care what people think, sees no harm in what he does and is proud of his success as a businessman.

On the positive side, he cares deeply for his family and gives away a lot of money to charity.

How do I know all this, firstly, he is my youngest brother, secondly I see his vans on the road and am horrified at some of the slogans. I would hate to explain them to my grandchildren if they asked what they meant. A google search tells me the rest.

My brother was a committed, spirit filled Christian in his teenage years and early twenties. Now in his late fifties he seems far away from God, yet I read on the internet that he says he practices Christian principals in the way he runs his business.

Sounds pretty bad. I think there are some punctuation errors, or should I say lack of punctuation that should be there. Also Christian principals should be principles. Interesting story.

I'm curious as to whether this is a true story because I've seen those 'Wicked' campervans with their offensive slogans. If it is it makes it especially interesting to know more about the owner of that company. If not true I suggest that you'd be better using a fictional company name. You've taken a creative approach to this topic. Well done.

This is quite interesting. I've never heard of Wicked Campers before. I can't imagine what I would think if I saw one. The fact that your brother owns the company surprised me. I have a feeling that he isn't insouciant at all, but has something deep troubling his heart. I stopped and said a prayer for you, him, and your families. Prayer is not the least we can do, but the most. I've been reminded of that once this week already. The Holy Spirit is definitely trying to drill that message into my heart.
