Topic: STEAM (12/03/15)
Lost in my yesterdays
in all the things I’ve done.
How can I take this
before the Holy One?

How can He forgive me
with all the sins I do?
Even though He’s here
and always sees me through.

All that I can think
is He’s forgiven me.
When I was at the brink
so blind and could not see.

I’ve been in Satan’s grip
that’s where I’ve always been.
His fires came from the depth
surrounding me with sin.

Now I’m in the darkness
I cannot see the Light.
How can I exists
when it is dark as night?

When I talk to Jesus
you tell me, “don’t believe.
I will give you such great things
watch what I achieve”.

Get thee behind me Satan
you know I am so weak.
You fill my mind with lies
constantly you speak.

It’s more than I can take
I’m such a retched thing
I’m so vile what can I do
but hide here from the King?

I hear the angels ‘round me,
I feel God‘s gentle touch.
I really can’t believe
that He loves me so much.

“I've looked into your soul
I see your love for Me.
I see your contrite heart
now I can set you free.”

A steam can off of me
it smelled so very bad.
But now I feel so free
from all the sins I’ve had.

What Jesus did for me
why did He have to die?
He paid for all my sins
with something I can’t buy.

With Jesus by my side
I will fear no more.
When He died for me
He opened up the door.

He is so good to me
now I can kneel and pray.
He’s here to be my guide
I've one more thing to say.

If you’re deep in sin
you’re filled with pain and strife.
Ask Him into your heart
He’ll give you brand new life.

He’ll break those chains of sin
He’ll make you white as snow.
He’ll always be with you
no matter where you go.

This is a beautiful poem. I loved the first few lines: "Lost in my yesterdays, in all the things I've done."

I believe there is a few lines that need to be reworked because they were a bit confusing to me. A steam can off of me. It smelled so very bad.

The words were moving and touched my heart.
